members of the Sediments Remediation Action Team under the Remediation

The purpose of this document is to capture the valuable discussion that took place at the October 29, 2002 workshop and condense the ideas in an organized and usable format. A summary and the presentations made during this workshop is available within the Meetings section. The document highlights the issues upon which there was general agreement and issues for which consensus has not yet been reached. As a result of the on-going dialogue among the sub-team members and comments from the RTDF membership, additional information and useful tools are also included in this document.

meeting the objectives of the Anacostia Watershed Toxics Alliance, an
assessment of chemical hazards and preliminary characterization of the
associated risks to both humans and ecological receptors was initiated. The
Interpretive Summary report provides a synopsis of the results of these Phase I
risk characterization efforts.
