SEDIMENTS REMEDIATION ACTION TEAM
CONFERENCE CALL
November 17, 2003
3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On November 17, 2003, the following members of the Remediation Technologies
Development Forum’s (RTDF’s) Sediments Remediation Action Team
met in a conference call:
John Davis, The Dow Chemical Company
Kelly Madalinski, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Chris Hartnett of ERG also participated in the call.
FEBRUARY 2004 ACTION TEAM MEETING
This conference call was held to discuss the Sediments Remediation Action
Team meeting that is scheduled to take place in Baltimore, Maryland, in February
2004. Madalinski and Davis decided that the following should be done to move
forward with developing the meeting agenda:
- Madalinski agreed to develop the next draft of the agenda by November
21, 2003. That draft will list speakers and discussion times and indicate
which presenters are definitely signed on to speak and which are still being
considered.
- Davis will contact Danny Reible, Kevin Garner, and Jeff
Talley to confirm their participation as speakers.
- Madalinski will continue
to communicate with Dick Luthy to find out whether he is willing to participate
as a speaker.
- Madalinski will communicate with Clay Patmont to learn more
about his recent work and to determine whether he is interested in participating
as a speaker.
- Madalinski will send Action Team members information about a
project that Craig Zellers is working on in South Carolina.
- Madalinski
and Davis agreed to think more about the format for panel discussions.
They agreed that panel discussions should be held on:
- ElectroChemical GeoOxidation. Madalinski said that Tommy Meyers, Ken Wittle, and Dave Nakles have all
agreed to present information on a project
that is being performed in Duluth, Minnesota. Davis agreed to contact Nakles
to ask him what role he is playing in the project. Once this is determined,
the Action Team leaders will decide how many speakers should be included
on the panel and how much time should be allotted to each.
- A Limnofix technology. Madalinski said that Nancy Grosso is trying to identify appropriate people
for this panel.
- Madalinski will find out whether Grosso and Dennis Timberlake
are available to participate in a conference call on November 24, 2003.
If so,
Madalinski will set up a conference call for the Action Team leadership.
The purpose of the call will be to come to consensus on the agenda for the
February
2004 Action Team meeting.
