The In Situ Flushing Action Team was established under the Remediation Technologies Development Forum (RTDF) in 1997. The Team held preliminary meetings in 1997 and 1998. Although the Team established workgroups and discussed several potential projects, the level of participation in 1999 was insufficient to sustain Team activities. As a result, the Team was deactivated. It may be reactivated if public and private sector organizations show renewed interest in jointly pursuing further development of in situ flushing technologies.
