CONFERENCE CALL

November 10, 2003
4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

On November 10, 2003, the following members of the Remediation Technologies Development Forum's (RTDF's) Sediments Remediation Action Team, Ground Water-Surface Water Interactions Workgroup, met in a conference call:

Nancy Grosso, DuPont (Action Team Co-chair)
Bruce Duncan, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 10
Farukh Mohsen, Gannett Fleming
Ralph Stahl, DuPont

Christine Hartnett of ERG was also present.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Ground Water-Surface Water Interactions Workgroup is writing a document that summarizes issues identified during an October 2002 Sediments Remediation Action Team workshop. The Workgroup has met (via conference call) on several occasions over the last several months to discuss the document's content. In mid-October 2003, the most up-to-date version of the document was released to the workgroup. This call was held to determine how to proceed with the document.

DISCUSSION

Nancy Grosso thanked the conference call participants for all they had contributed to the document thus far. She said that the following activities still need to be performed to complete the document: (1) Bruce Duncan needs to edit Section 1.4, (2) Duncan and Peter Adriaens need to develop a table that summarizes available assessment tools, and (3) Adriaens needs to make modifications to Section 3. Despite those outstanding activities, though, Grosso advised distributing the existing version of the document to the entire Sediments Remediation Action Team for review and comment. Call participants agreed that this was a good idea. Grosso said that she will make it clear that some sections of the document are still being developed when she sends out the document to the Action Team.
